In the Manner Of... is a series of drawing studies which focuses on deconstructing the idea of a table. People expect a table to be a stable surface, typically supported by a few legs. These studies, by analyzing artists and architects’ drawing styles and the rhetoric surrounding their design processes, aims to subvert the preconceived notions of what a table should be. Rather than being a support for other objects to rest on, a table can become a shelter, an invasive structure, a building plan, or anything we desire it to be.
